Sex Work Community Feedback Survey
Last week we published an Accountability Letter titled “To the Sex Worker Community – We Owe You An Apology.”
This generated a lot of dialogue. We heard what you had to say on Twitter, Facebook, and via email. We want to hear more. We want to be certain that we are meaningfully including the community’s feedback in our work as we move forward.
To do this, we’ve prepared a survey, and members of our community are invited to share their thoughts on the sexual assault service needs of the sex worker community. In particular, we encourage folks who identify as having lived experience in the sex work industry to fill out the survey. Please note that the survey is confidential, all of the questions are optional, and respondents can feel free to only fill out the questions they would like to answer.
Please see the survey here.
The survey will be open for 30 days. After this, we will collate the answers and share how we plan to implement the feedback our community shares with us. We plan to do this by mid-September.
In addition, in the Accountability Letter mentioned above, we highlight that we will be conducting an audit of our services. In mid-September, we will have further details on how the audit will be conducted, and how the results will be taken into consideration at our organization.
Thank you. We know it takes energy and work to share your input, and we value the time you’re taking to share your thoughts and experiences with us. Your feedback will guide us as we work to make our sexual assault services relevant, suitable, and inclusive for the sex work community.
With gratitude,
WAVAW’s Board, Leadership, and Staff
