Volume Three of Recognition Now Available
In late 2019, WAVAW launched our zine, Recognition: Trans and Queer Artists on Sexual Harm. After a turbulent year and a half, we are grateful to share the resilience of the 2SLGBTQ+ community through poetry, art & stories in volume three of Recognition.
In this edition we asked artists to reflect on the following questions to openly discuss their experiences surrounding safety as queer people:
- What does sexual violence look like between queer people, and why is it so hard to talk about?
- How do we talk about bodily autonomy as trans people, when we’re not always allowed to choose our own medical journey?
- How has quarantine made safety harder to find?
We’re blown away with the beautiful and important insights these artists have contributed to this edition which you can now view the digital edition for free.
