Our New Year Resolutions
Happy New Year!
We hope that you had a lovely holiday season, and that the New Year is filled with love, light, warmth, and care for you.
It’s the time of year when people are making New Year Resolutions, and thinking about what they’d like to achieve or commit to this year.
As we go into the New Year, we at WAVAW are also making our own resolutions. We hope some of the resolutions below inspire you as well:
- “I would like to read more books/poetry by trans authors, as well as support more women/trans/indigenous owned small businesses and try to avoid shopping in big box stores/amazon.” – Heather, Fund Development Assistant
- “My feminist New Years resolution is to spend more time with groups of women and nonbinary folks in my life – to share, bond, learn from each other and find solidarity.” – Zoe, Victim Services Worker
- “This year my resolution is to support feminist organizations working for social justice by donating to keep their work sustainable…I know that one way I can do my part to ensure feminist work continues is by donating monthly. I may not be able to give a lot of money but I know every bit helps!” – Carissa, Fund Development Coordinator
Finally, as an organization, we are committed to providing compassionate, inclusive, immediate support to all survivors who reach out to us, every day of the year.
I hope you’re excited about the coming year, and we look forward to achieving great things together.
Here’s to your happiness and success,
The WAVAW Team
