Are You Kidding Me?
A doctor featured on Fox News thinks that American women should have to pay more for health care. Apparently, because women live longer and have more organs (?!?!?!), it just isn’t fair for men to have to pay as much as women do. Upworthy says of the doctor “if people should pay only for the organs they have, I bet he gets a bargain for health care. I mean, he’s missing a brain.”
Not only is the entire idea that “women’s” and “men’s” bodies fall into two mutually exclusive categories completely reductive, determinist, and cisnormative, but it just generally discounts the reality that people are different and we all have different health care needs.

(0:55) – The well-known scientific argument that “guys just don’t like to go to the doctor.”
(2:15) –“That’s what happens, exactly.” … what??
(2:35) – Women have a better time on earth than men do. You know, except for that pesky patriarchy n’ stuff.
(3:25) – “Look, there’s no question that we are paying our own dues, there’s no doubt about that.” I mean, really… are you kidding me?!
