WAVAW’s Justice Project, Seeks Victim Service Worker, Supervisors, Managers Participation in a Survey
WAVAW Rape Crisis Centre is in the second year of a 3-year systemic change project that seeks to answer the question: “How can we enhance Survivors confidence in the Criminal Justice System after Sexual Assault”.
To date the project has analyzed quantitative data to get an updated picture of what survivors experiences have been with the system, and gathered qualitative data by interviewing 21 survivors about their experiences and their vision for change .
We are committed to centering survivor’s voices as experts in this process and deeply believe they can and should have the opportunity to generate the foundation on which we will build our recommendations for change. Therefore, we invited survivors to share their wisdom, expertise, and vision to guide us as we challenge and encourage the Justice System to change for the better with the goal of enhancing confidence in the Justice system.
We are now ready to hear from our Victim Service colleagues in the Province in order to capture your voices.
You participation will allow us to build a different landscape, one where survivors have an increased sense of confidence in the Justice System and all the actors within it.
If you have further questions or would like to share more than what is captured in the survey please be in touch with us at confidenceinthesystemproject@gmail.com or contact Dalya Israel @ 604-255-6228 ext 224.
